TWINES OF MOIRAS
PIECE FOR 3 AMPLIFIED VIOLAS, ELECTRONICS AND VIDEO
This work is a part of Myths cycle and has its premiere during fringe event of Warsaw Autumn festival, in 2016. It was performed by Jan Czyżewski, Radosław Jarocki and Tomasz Karwan.

Twines of Moiras is a piece, where performers have to play on the prepared and amplified viola in a very special way - they put violas on their laps, bowing the strings with a bow or a twine, horizontally or vertically, use a thin wooden stick, bouncing strings with it or putting it between strings. All the sounds coming from violas are amplified by contact microphones and processed by multiple effects. The result sounds much more like electronic music than acoustic music, and is very close to noise aesthethic.
